Prémio da Viña San Pedro

Three Viña San Pedro wines awarded 92 points in the latest “Descorchados” guide

October 2012.- The most prestigious wine guide in Chile, “Descorchados”, written by the journalist and wine critic Patricio Tapia, just announced the results of their 2013 edition, which will be published in the upcoming weeks.

In this edition, the 14th since its creation in 1999, the Viña San Pedro wines enjoyed glowing reviews.

The highest score awarded was 92 points, a score which three of our wines obtained on this occasion: 1865 Limited Edition Blend vintage 2009, Cachapoal Valley; 1865 Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc vintage 2012, Leyda Valley; and the Ultra Premium Syrah Kankana del Elqui vintage 2009, from the Elqui Valley.

To complete this successful run, on this occasion four of our representatives also obtained 91 points: 1865 Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon vintage 2010, Maipo Valley; Cabo de Hornos vintage 2008, Central Valley; Castillo de Molina Sauvignon Blanc vintage 2012, Elqui Valley; and the 1865 Limited Edition Syrah vintage 2010, Elqui Valley.

This is an excellent outcome that confirms the quality of our wines, the hard work by our winemaking team, and the diversity of valleys that our winery has been exploring, always with the goal of obtaining the best results.
